Desktop: How to Use the Interview Mode

This article illustrates how to set the software to use the Interview Mode and how to turn it off

Interview mode is a method to complete a return using situational questions to complete the return.

  1. Interview mode can be used with every return (see below for configuration) or activated on a per return basis.
  2. There are "help me decide" buttons to assist the ERO when there is uncertainty.
  3. An ERO has the ability to "Exit" the interview mode by hiding the options on the Left Attached Forms.

 

 To activate Starting ALL returns in Interview mode.

  1. Go to Setup 
  2. Then select Login Accounts & Double click the login that needs activation
  3. Put a checkmark in the box next to Start Return with Return Interview
  4. Select OK to save the changes made.

 

To Remove Return Interview Mode from Within a Return:

From within a return that has Interview mode enabled.

  1. Right-click on the Interview - Express
  2. Select Remove Return Interview
  3. The remove return Interview window will populate & IF yes is selected task will be completed
  4. Confirm Interview method is no longer part of this return.
