How to Add a ’Bank Product’ (RAC) to a Tax Return

In this article, we will show you how to update an EFIN enrolled with a bank in the software that has an approved RAC record.

From Form 8879:

  1. Choose Option 5 for the Refund Type.
  2. Verify that the EFIN has an approval record from the bank.
  3. Click the Refresh Button.
  4. A Bank Application should now be visibly appended to the return.
